Like a stay in a park with good food.
Something we liked but others may not is that the property is about a 30 min. walk to Cahuita. We enjoyed the chance to get some exercise and enjoyed the wildlife and the walk along the beach.

Good place to stay very romantic.
    Everything was fine
Those people (family) were very nice , very friendly, the accommodation has a restaurant the food is very good but expensive but it seems to me all Costa Rica food is expensive. The cabinets are into the jungle you can hear the Howler monkey 🐒. The beach is just across the street but no access just only 100 years to access the beach.

    Great stay!
Water pressure is not the best and the electricity is kind of scary.
We loved everything about this place. Andrea, the owner, was very friendly and helped us with everything! Very close to a beautiful beach Playa Grande. The garden is amazing - we had a sloth sleepinng above our cabin! The Taj-Mahal cabin is very spacious, clean and set in a beautiful garden. Andrea has two lovely dogs and the food in the restaurant was delicious! We loved the veggie curry the best!

Relaxing and most memorable trip to date!
We immediately felt at home and were warmly welcomed by Andrea and her son, Samuel. They have endless information on the area and easily helped us with everything we wanted to see and do during our stay. The gardens and cabinas are beautiful and full of wildlife. From the food at Restaurant Bananas, to the fun conversation with Andrea after each day's adventure, we already plan to return. Definitely our favorite vacation in the books!

    Lovely rustic comfort in paradise!
Hard to complain about anything here but the water pressure in the bathroom was a bit weak. Not a major problem for us, but just an FYI.
Our stay in Cahuita was all about being laid-back and Cabina's Algebra was the perfect place for us to do just that! We arrived by bus carrying all of our luggage and our host graciously picked up the tab on our cab ride to the Cabinas. We loved the out-of-the-way location of this terrific property which was once a chocolate plantation and were delighted to find out that it was much closer to the beach than indicated on Googlemaps. Playa Grande (good for walking) is about 700 meters up the road from the front entrance and just across the street (5min or less) and Playa Negra (good for swimming) is a little under 1000 meters down the other way. We didn't mind the 1.7km walk into town and took it a few times but the natural beauty of Cabinas Algebra's surroundings was more interesting to us. There is a good little convenience store a couple doors down and some restaurants/bars about a half km down the road. The on-premise, open-air restaurant, Restaurant Bananas, was very good & served well-prepared Caribbean food, burgers, fish, daily specials and was very reasonably-priced so we ate there most frequently. The restaurant doubled as a common area for guests to relax and converse which we did much of during our stay. Here we met our wonderful host, Andrea, who greeted us with a cold beer and a little conversation where she answered all of our questions regarding directions, around town, points of interest and anything else. She and her awesome staff was always available for some advice or help. The Cabina we stayed in is called the Taj Mahal and sits in the center of the property. It's a colorful rustic Cabina of all wood comes furnished with 2 beds on the ground floor with 1 more in a sleeping loft (all with mosquito nets, the windows weren't screened); a kitchenette with a refrigerator, hot plate, necessary dishes & utensils, washing sink, table with stools, fan, a hammock on the front covered patio and patio furniture.
